JACK DAVEY AS MEDIA COURSEWORK

To Examiner, Over the period of the course I have gradually learnt the importance of, and learnt to appreciate research and planning, as well as the evaluation, by doing this I have been able to develop and progress my skills, allowing me to construct a final media product that I believe you will enjoy viewing. It took me longer than a week to finish my evaluations, however the extra time allowed me to complete all 7 different formats. I used all 7 formats that i proposed.

Who would be the audience for your media product? From my research for my indie/alternative magazine i came to the conclusion that my target audience would be from the age of 16-22 and mainly gender, but include female audience as well. This is because a lot of the indie/alternative scene is dominated by male artists, and that would mean a more masculine undertone for the magazine. I feel the age range is appropriate to the magazine as this would be the stage where people are starting to try new sorts of music and new styles, i also believe having a target of up to 22 would be the best as that is the age where a lot of people tend to start nailing their life down and finally leave their teenage years behind. Another important issue when choosing your target age for your audience is the fact that a lot of gigs and festivals require you to be 18, or at least 16 with an over 18 guide, this is important because a lot of my audience will be interested in seeing their bands and artist p

This week I got through a lot of work that contributed towards my final design, i will list below what i completed. -Magazine development of double page spread -Magazine development of contents page -Magazine development of front cover -Final drafts of Front cover, Contents, and double page spread, -Magazine layout -My 4th Draft

My plan for this week is to clean up my magazine, post my 4th draft, and make sure i have my layout in order and perfect, i also want to post the development of my magazine this week.

This week i was mainly working on my magazine so i did not have much to post, i did manage to post examples of my magazine layout, however as a lot of my research and planning is done, i am mainly focused on completing the designs for now. -Magazine layout

Occupation: Olivia is currently at a college studying clothing design and fashion, she is also working part time mainly on the weekends at pink pigeon which is a small shop in the city centre, where she is a sales assistant, this job fits her perfectly as it sells some new brands, and plays her favourite music.
